Jean-Marc Quarin September - 1990
Jean-Marc Quarin
Brick red colour, evolved with still that ruby reflection. Intense and brilliant. Very intense and complex nose. Fruity, fresh nuances and notes of dust, olive, cedar, tobacco and undergrowth. Dense when swirled. Fruity, woody and spicy. Good. Soft, distinguished attack, developing on a concentrated structure, with ripe flavours, fine and well-balanced tactile contact that evolves on an ascending palate design and rich tannins, very aromatic, fruity, fat and powerful. Very long, flavourful and intense finish. Great elegance. Quite ready to drink. Great wine.

Château Cadet Piola
The vineyard of Château Cadet-Piola was established in the mid-18th century. Today, it comprises 7 hectares of vines, consisting of 51% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Pressac. The vines are approximately 35 years old and are rooted in clay-limestone soil. The grapes are harvested by hand, and sorting is done directly on the vine during harvest. The wines are then aged in barrels before being bottled. The average production is about 32,000 bottles per year. At Château Cadet-Piola, emphasis is placed on the importance of terroir. It must express itself fully and reveal the authenticity of its origins. The wines are balanced, with the oak not overshadowing the freshness and complexity of the wine.
