Tom Cannavan January - 2005

Sehr dunkles Purpur. Gute Struktur.

Jean-Marc Quarin May - 2007

The color is beautiful, the nose fine and the palate rich in fruity sensations. Margaux as hell, with a silky touch and tannins and a tender, fresh body. Could be more mature.

The color of rose hip tea, more interesting on the nose than the palate, with its truffle, tobacco and cassis aromatic profile. Lightly styled, with bright cassis and cranberry in the finish, this is a wine to drink sooner than later.

A big, thrusting, modern style of wine, packed with ripe black plum skin and vanilla flavors. To balance this power and fruit forward character, the typical 2004 freshness is very apparent, lifting the wine and giving it a vibrant character.

Just opening up now, this Brane-Cantenac offers immense drinking pleasure. At 10 years old, the tannins have softend and the aromatics have become more complex with violets and sweet spices in the finish.

Dark crimson with some muddiness at the rim. Macerated currants nose. Tough, rather simple, almost 'Australian' finish. A bit spindly and mean.
