1992 vintage<\/a>: a mixed vintage<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 1992 vintage<\/a> was rather average in Bordeaux<\/a>. Unfortunately, the winegrowers suffered the consequences of the previous year’s frost. Indeed, 1992 was a year with changing climatic conditions: early flowering, a very hot and dry start to the summer, heavy rains in August until September… Which consequently disrupted the smooth running of the harvests and required a strict selection of the grapes during sorting. However, the work and know-how of the winegrowers made it possible to produce very fine wines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first <\/a>and second classified growths<\/a> such as Ch\u00e2teau Mouton Rothschild<\/a> 1992, Haut Brion<\/a> 1992, or Ch\u00e2teau Lafite Rothschild<\/a> 1992 have managed to stand out with supple and elegant wines. Wines of the Pomerol <\/a>appellation are successful, such as Petrus <\/a>or Ch\u00e2teau Trotanoy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The climatic conditions also impact the Burgundy region<\/a>. 1992 <\/a>is a complicated vintage as is the wine aging. However, the best red wines of 1992 are very structured and have fat. The Beaune<\/a>, Pommard <\/a>and Volnay <\/a>appellations are more qualitative with wines with solid structures and beautiful fruit. The white wines of Burgundy are of superior quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1992 is a good vintage in the Champagne region<\/a>. The harvest was abundant and of good quality. The Champagnes of 1992 are very good. Beautiful wines, very gourmet, with a beautiful aromatic freshness and brioche notes. If you want to buy a 1992 wine or taste a 1992 wine, Champagnes <\/a>are to be preferred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the 1992 Rh\u00f4ne <\/a>wines are of a slightly higher quality than the previous vintage, notably the wines of the Southern Rh\u00f4ne with the appellations Ch\u00e2teauneuf-du-Pape<\/a>, C\u00f4tes-du-Rh\u00f4ne, Gigondas<\/a>, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Bordeaux<\/a>, we recommend the Domaine de Chevalier<\/a> 1992. In the Pessac-L\u00e9ognan<\/a> appellation, it is among the classified growths of Graves<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rated 18\/20 by the specialist magazine La Revue du Vin de France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for Rh\u00f4ne wines<\/a>, we recommend the Domaine Chapoutier De l’Or\u00e9e Blanc 1992<\/a> in the Hermitage blanc<\/a> appellation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
