In the 1960s, Philippe Pichon played a role in the revival of Condrieu. At that time, Viognier was close to disappearing, with only a few hectares still planted. The quality of Domaine Christophe Pichon\u2019s wines is rooted in the diversity of its terroirs<\/strong>. The estate\u2019s vineyards extend across several of the Northern Rh\u00f4ne\u2019s leading appellations, including C\u00f4te-R\u00f4tie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph and Cornas. In C\u00f4te-R\u00f4tie<\/a><\/strong>, Syrah is grown on particularly steep hillsides. The granite and gneiss soils contribute to wines with structure, precision and depth.
