The origins The castle took its name in the 18th century, which it takes from the plots located at places called “Petrus” and “< a href=”https://www.sodivin.co.uk/4193-lafleur”>Lafleur”. Jean Pierre Moueix has owned the château since 1950. Under his wise leadership, the estate has experienced meteoric growth. The quality of the wine rises to extraordinary levels, propelling the château among the jewels of the Pomerol appellation. The castle benefits from a terroir recognized for the quality of its wines. The vineyard extends over 18.7 hectares to the north of Petrus. The grape varieties consist of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Guarantee of quality The grapes are subject to rigorous selection, each step is carefully controlled in order to preserve the exceptional quality of the fruits. The château produces a fine and elegant red wine. Its color offers a complex bouquet with scents of black fruits, spices and flowers. On the palate, the wine is ample, fleshy and velvety, with a refined tannic structure and a lingering finish.
