The fifth growth wine from the Médoc are part of the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. Since then, the ranking has not changed with the exception of Château Cantemerle entering the ranking in 1856 and Château Mouton Rothschild in 1973 going from 2nd to 1st growth classification.
The red wines of the ranking are all from Médoc (except Château Haut Brion of Pessac-Léognan)
