The La Tâche appellation is a grand cru from the Côte de Nuits region. This Burgundy wine is produced in the town of Vosne Romanée in the Côte d’Or department. The Pinot Noir grapes, the only grape variety used, stretches out over 6 hectares. Produced on the La Tâche appellation, this red grand cru wine belongs exclusively to Domaine de la Romanée Conti. The vines are grown on brown soil with limestone and a high clay content. Concerning the tasting, it is advised to not drink this wine before it reaches 10 years old. Depending on the year, it is even possible to enjoy this wine decades after its production. This grand cru bring out the best potential in the Pinot Noir, producing a shiny, somber red robe. The bouquet evolves with age and goes from notes of red fruits to violet to spices and undergrowth. To the palate, the sensation is net, strong and complex.
